The afternoon will feature a workshop with Jordon Johnson from All Families Matter on creating inclusive spaces for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. The workshop explores the different types of dating violence, signs that a teen is in a violent relationship and ways the teens handle these relationships.
These workshops are appropriate for advocates in domestic abuse programs, law enforcement, court staff, prosecutors, educators, health professionals, mental health professionals, social workers, and workers in a range of human service fields.

This workshop will provide information on the DMST victim profile, the relationship between the victim and the trafficker/pimp, including the calculated and methodical stages of how the trafficker establishes trust, and psychologically and physically bonds with the victim. We will engage in a conversation about how to build rapport and alliances with this constituency, create a welcoming environment, and develop inclusive practices within your agency.
